LTC 501: Guiding Foundations, Philosophies, and Resources

The launchpad course for the NIAAA Leadership Training curriculum serves as an overview of interscholastic athletic administration. This course introduces the philosophy of educational athletics, explores program culture and relationships, and focuses on the roles of the NIAAA, the NFHS, the state athletic/activity associations, and the state athletic administrator’s associations. This course also previews the NIAAA Leadership Training and Certification Programs. Students will be challenged to think about their own professional learning journey while being exposed to the many resources supporting them along the way. This is a prerequisite for all levels of certification and includes study materials for the CAA exam. Required for: LTI instructors and all certifications.
